Manufacturer and Floorplans
We exclusively permit cedar-sided park model cabins constructed by Canterbury RV who specializes in High Quality Park Models. Canterbury has a variety of cabinet counter top and flooring options all with that special “cabin” or “cottage” feel. Most common floorplan includes main bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, family area, and sleeping lofts.
Site Licenses
Each site license grants the purchaser the right to place a cabin on the site, occupy the site, and sell, will or give away the license to the site at a later date. Each site has different dimensions depending on various factors including the terrain and surroundings. Site license prices average around $30,000.
Usage and Renting
As a cabin owner, you are entitled to use your cabin for up to 180 days out of the year. This cannot be your permanent residence. You may chose to rent your cabin anytime between May 1st and October 31st. Vacation Home Finders will take care of your rental management needs. VHF charges a 30% rental fee for management of the rental, cleaning between rentals, and keeping a close eye on your cabin.
Porches and Decks
Porches and Decks are designed specifically for each individual site. The screened porches create a wonderful versatile outdoor living space that is perfect for additional dining and living areas for day or nighttime use.
Expenses
The Annual Cost Analysis includes the breakdown for expenses including LP gas and electric and LCR Membership fees which are around $3,500 annually. This includes cable, sewer and water, garbage pickup, lawn service, exterior staining of cabin, and mainentence of resort amenities.
Reservation Process
To begin the reservation process and purchase of a new cabin, you will first pick a site. Then you will design a new cabin, plan out the porch, and enjoy! Full process may take 3-12 months depending on time of year.
